    Unable to install Alien Isolation, error code 0x87e0000f


    I have an original version Xbox One and a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
    I am trying to install Alien Isolation, but every time the download speed drops from 45MB/s down to 266kb/s then fails completely at 1.1% (276.99MB) download with an error code of 0x87e0000f.

    I have also been able to install other Game Pass games without issue. I have a FttP connection and all other network traffic is functioning as normal including streaming videos and download games from Steam.

    Here are the steps I have tried to resolve this so far:

    Cancelling installation and trying again a few hours later.
    Checking there was enough space on internal storage.
    Checking Xbox Live service status.
    Soft rebooting the console.
    Hard rebooting the console including leaving it unplugged from power for 10 minutes.
    Tried "Alternate MAC address" option in settings.
    Moving all my installed games to external storage, before factory reseting the Xbox.
    Tried installing it throught the Store interface instead of the Game Pass games list.

    None of this has resolved the failed installation. I don't know whether it's a factor but I'm on the Xbox Insider Program, the current console OS version is 10.0.19041.3068 (rs_xbox_release_2006.200610-0000).

    Sorry those options did not help. Other cache data besides blu-ray info is sometimes stored there and that is the only way to clear it.

    Hi, I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean.

    Are you asking me to disconnect my console from the network then attempt to download a game? Cos that will definitely not work!

    Hmmm.... Have you tried this:

    Power on console.

    Get to dash

    Press and hold power to turn off console.

    Keep pressing power for 10 seconds even after unit **** down.

    Power back on.

    also try this:

    Settings -> Devices & Streaming -> Blu-ray -> persistent storage -> Clear persistent storage
