  1. Unable to get OG Xbox One to Mount USB for OSU2 update

I replaced my HDD with an SSD (1tb) and im having trouble getting the Xbox to preform the Offline Update. The xbox boots to troubleshoot page, but the Offline System Update is grayed out.

I am using a USB drive formatted to NFTS, then I copy the whole $SystemUpdate, already extract to the root of the USB Drive. I have actally tried all 3 OSU1, OSU2, OSU3 and none of them seem to be recognized. I have also tried different USB drives and none seem to work. The update option is always grayed out?

    E101 & 102 - Off-line Update not helping...

Where can I access the OSU2? I only see the OSU1 available...
I'm sorry, I may have misread your post. I believe the OSU2 is for the OG xbox not the X.

The OSU2 deals with older OS versions on xbox.

    Once again sorry about that.

    Update Error E102

I have xbox one. The update was stuck at 50% for two hours..this is not normal i think. I boot in troubleshooting screen, and nothing works, offline updates with usb stick OSU1/ OSU2, factory reset, and nothing works.....i try everything.

Offline update file OSU2.zip's system.xvd file corrupt. Can I download it separately?

Got it, when you downloaded to your USB did you format it to NTFS first?

To use the Offline System Update, you'll need:

    • A Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
    • A USB flash drive with a minimum 4 GB of space formatted as NTFS.

That's the first step for the update. I'll walk you through the next OS update once you confirm this.

    1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
    2. Open the Offline System Update file OSU2.
    3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file to your computer.
    4. Unzip the file by right-clicking on the file and selecting Extract all from the pop-up menu.
    5. Copy the $SystemUpdate file from the .zip file to your flash drive.

Note The files should be copied to the root directory, and there shouldn't be any other files on the flash drive.
    6. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer

Note The current OS version on your Xbox One console requires you to install two updates: OSU2, followed by OSU1.
It is important that you wait until the OSU2 update is complete before you begin installing OSU1

Xbox won't display on monitor nor allows my controller to connect.

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. You can follow the
    offline update troubleshooter
. If you can bring up the troubleshoot menu in step 3 then first try reset console and keep games and apps. This is little easier than the offline. If unable to then proceed to hit no until step 6 then get the OSU2 file. Reason
I say this is you are unable to see your version.

    Thanks,

    Brad
Hey. I tried the OSU2 file on my thumb drive but I don't think my xbox is detecting it as there's no power up noise after holding the eject and bind button for a good while.

Xbox one OG stuck at Preparing COnsole after system update today,

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you're experiencing issues with your Xbox One OG after a system update. It sounds like you've already tried some troubleshooting steps but let me see if I can help you further.

If your console is stuck on "Preparing Console" after a system update, it's possible that the update didn't install correctly. In this case, you may need to perform a factory reset or use the Offline System Update (OSU) to restore your console to its original state.

To use the OSU, you'll need to download the update file from the Microsoft website and save it to a USB drive. Then, you'll need to plug the USB drive into your console and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

If you're not sure which update to use (OSU or OSU2), I would recommend using the OSU first. If that doesn't work, you can try the OSU2.

Here's a link for the complete steps for offline update: Perform an offline system update | Xbox Support.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Sincerely,
