Unable to Get Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision to Work Simultaneously

So I've seen multiple versions of this post but none that quite fit my own. I've yet to get this configured properly for almost 2 years now. My setup consists of the following:

TV: Sony A1E OLED

Sound bar: LG SJ9

Xbox One X

I have my Xbox run through the “HDMI In” port of the sound bar. Then my sound bar is run through the HDMI ARC port of the TV. I purchased two brand new Rocketfish High Speed HDMI cables (RF-HG04501) and used those for both runs to rule out different/non-compatible
cables.

The closest I’ve gotten this work is where Dolby Atmos is fully active, but in the 4K checklist, everything is checked ON except the “24Hz” setting. Even the Dolby Atmos box is checked, but when I used the Dolby App to verify that I have it configured properly,
it says that I only have Dolby Atmos enabled. Then when I go to Netflix, I only get HDR and Dolby Atmos content. I no longer get Dolby Vision content.

On the other hand, I’ve gotten Dolby Vision fully configured properly (I had to run my Xbox HDMI to my TV for this instead of the sound bar), even verified in the Dolby App/Netflix, but then I’m no longer able to even set my Xbox audio setting to Dolby Atmos.
That’s when I receive the common “0x80bd0009” audio receiver error.

I’ve tried the common fix I’ve seen posted where you manually adjust the video settings and select “HDMI”, then the resolution is dropped to 640x480. However, this next part is something I haven’t seen anyone post about: I change my resolution to 1080p,
then go back to turn on all of the HD options. Everything turns on except for “Allow 4K”. It tells me my TV won’t allow 4K.

There’s too many inconsistencies and I can’t seem to understand why I can’t this setup properly. Since purchasing this Xbox, I had to upgrade my TV just to get full 4K and HDR gaming. Then to enjoy Dolby Atmos, I had to of course purchase a Dolby Atmos enabled
product. I’ve done both but it seems I can only enjoy one of these features at a time. Has anyone, or even Microsoft cracked the code on this yet? I’m losing my mind here.

You may have to try Hard Restarting your Xbox by - Holding Actual Console Power Button for 10 seconds - Once its off unplug Power cord for 15 seconds - Turn it back on and check if it works now

I have an LG oled c7 and watch netflix trough webOs .

By doing it this way you should get Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Microsoft will roll out an sofware update for netflix Dolby Vision shortly.

For the moment Dolby Vision is not supported on the Netflix app via Xbox.

I hope they also update the blu ray player shortly because there is much more content available on 4k uhd blu ray.

Hello, I tried all three of these, and still do not see Dolby Vision enabled. I see Ultra 4k, HDR10, Dolby Atmos in Disney+ shows that should have DV. It still shows that Dolby Vision is supported in the video options, but is not showing in the apps.

Any help is appreciated!

*maybe* this "problem" is exactly how the Dolby Atmos App on Xbox One X works.

Dolby Atmos native content? perfect! Dolby Atmos playback.

No Dolby Atmos? the App upmix current audio track to Dolby Atmos (the headphones features works in this way).

I don't know if is intentional.

If the game does not support Dolby Atmos, then the audio is normal stereo. Microsoft are working on updating Dolby Atmos, where if the game does not support Dolby, the audio will be converted to simulate Dolby Atmos.
