Unable to gather Xbox 360 info

Hello DenverJones,

Sorry to hear you are having issues connecting to the Xbox 360 servers and gathering info.

I see you have tried a few things while talking with support, hopefully we can help get your situation resolved.

Start by checking with your ISP and make sure there isn't any blockers preventing you from connecting properly. If you can, see if it works while using Hotspot. If that works, it may be your ISP.

Check your current NAT type. To do this:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
   
3. Under Current Network Status, the NAT Type field displays your current NAT type.
   

You need your NAT type to be Open. You also want to be sure there are no errors such as Double NAT detected or UPnP not successful displayed.

According to another user who had a similar issue, this is what they did to fix their issue:

I deleted and cleared my 360 profile as well as the games. Go into the internet settings on the Xbox and set a manual DNS. The DNS we used was the usual Google servers (8.8.8.8 ; 8.8.4.4). The IP can be left to automatic or set to static doesn't really matter. After setting this up I would shut down the system and unplug it.

Next if you can do a complete network restart that would be best. You don't need to do a reset or reconfigure anything on your home network. Just make sure to power down and unplug any modem/router/switch. Leave unplugged for 30 seconds to a minute and then plug back in, in order. Modem, router, switch giving each the proper time to boot. Most modem and routers will take a couple mins. Some older models can take a good 5 min. After everything is brought back up and you can verify internet is back up and running plug the Xbox back in and power up. Go to one of the 360 games you previous had and redownload it. Once downloaded go to the Xbox live 360 settings in said game and it shouldn't see anything since you deleted the profile. You should however have the option to redownload your profile. Select this and hopefully all is well.

My 360 sees the network, it shows up, just cannot gather proper info to connect

I have had this same issue for some time now as well, so what I have been able to gather is that the payment info doesn't match up between the two xbox stores, which is the 360 and One store. Therefore, you would need to add in your payment info directly
on your Xbox 360 in order to be able to make purchases on there.

This is what I'm trying out as soon as I can make my 360 wifi capable.

Hi Summer, Sorry to hear the issue wasn't resolved with the troubleshooting tips the developers provided. At this point I will need to gather as much info to request further investigation. What will be of great help if possible (since your unable to sign
in) is if you can report this issue using the "Report a problem' in the beta app. What this does is gather helpful data and send it to the developers for investigation. You can add additional info before hitting the submit by including the App version number
and repro steps so we can duplicate the experience. Let us know if your able to do this or not. In the mean-time I will call this out in our reports today for review.
