unable to fully log into xbox live account after changing primary microsoft email address

you can't merge accounts itself or fully move the Xbox Live Account to a different Microsoft Account, but something that could work for you is changing the primary email address for the Microsoft Account.

My assumption what steps might be required are:

- Change the primary email on the New Unused Xbox Account account to something else (you might need a new MS account/email for that) so that the Wanted email address is no longer attached to a Microsoft Account.

- Change the primary email on the Old Xbox account to the new wanted email address, so that that Wanted email address can be used to sign in to the Xbox main account.

thanks for trying.. I am able to add a new email account without issues, the problem is when making it my primary account i cant log into xbox pc (beta) with it. Once i change the primary account back, it works again.

Change the email address or phone number for your Microsoft account

It is a multi step process.

You can use any email address or phone number you've listed as a username to sign in to your Microsoft account. If you want to sign in with a specific one or change the one you're signing in with, here's how:

1. Sign in to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft with your Microsoft

   • A new email address. Select Create a new email address and add it as an alias, and then follow the instructions.
   • A non-Microsoft email address (such as an @gmail.com or @yahoo.com email address). Select Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias, and then select Add alias.
4. ​​​​​​After you've added the email address, you'll be asked to verify that you're the account owner:
   1. Select Verify next to the new alias. A message is sent to the account for verification.
   2. After you receive the message, select the included link to confirm that you own the account.
5. If you selected Add a phone number, follow these steps:
   1. Select your country from the list.
   2. Enter the phone number you want to use, and then select Next.
   3. When you add a new phone number, we'll send a text message to that number to verify it. Enter the code in the text message, and then select Next.
6. Under Sign-in preferences, select Change sign-in preferences.
7. Either select the check boxes next to the aliases you want to use to sign in, or clear the check boxes for the aliases that you don’t want to use to sign in, and then select Save.

Hoping I understand the issue correct, the following steps might be an option:

These steps should allow you to switch around the primary email addresses connected to both accounts

(this won't change any purchase/services linked to the MS account, only the primary email)

in order to achieve that, it might be possible to use a 3rd (temporary) email address (Microsoft Account).

Currently both email addresses have a MS and Xbox Live Account.

If you change the primary email for the account with the email address you want to use on your MS account connected to Random GT account to that new 3rd email address, that should result in the Celts12085 email to be free and after that you should be able
to change the primary email address connected to the Aragorn12085 account to Celts12085 email address.

Keep in mind that None of these accounts should be logged in on any device while doing this, so not on Windows PC, Phone or console etc. The reason for that is, that if they are signed in at anything related to Windows (10) it could result in a new Xbox
Live Account (with random GT) being generated.
