Unable to force install driver wireless receiver Xbox360

Hello i'm having issues to install the xbox360 driver for my receiver

To sum up my situation this is what i get when i connect the adapter to the usb

So it basically says that the device is uknown (that is ok since i didn't specify the correct driver yet)

Then i proceed with the installation

(I tried all the 3 drivers but based on what i've found on internet the 3rd one is the correct one)

So right now windows says that the installation has finished correctly, but on the device list this is what i get

What I got is just the removal of the exclamation mark, but the device is still not installed/configured and I can't connect my Xbox controller.

Do you have any suggestions?

Hi @BoyFantasticITA i've already done all the steps in your video but the problem is that windows 10 doesn't install the driver even if i do the normal procedure as described in your video that's why i'm posting it here

Also your link for the wireless driver is not working

Hi Sword,

it's an old official Xbox360 Guitar Hero Wireless Receiver.

Before the Windows 11 update that changed the "Driver" interface, it was working fine.

I can't find the same drivers in this new Windows Drivers list.

I had the same issue when I got a receiver from someone without the disk. I installed it on Windows 10 by going to device manager and right clicking on the "unknown device".

From there, I selected the following: Update driver,

Browse my computer for drivers,

Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer,

Show all or scroll down to Xbox360 peripherals,

Then choosing Microsoft on the left box and finding Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows on the right, highlight the option on the right and click Next.

Say yes to any warnings about incompatibility and it should install.
