Unable To Enable HDR on compatible tv with Xbox serie s

Hi everyone, I just bought an Xbox serie s, and I seem to not being able to enable hdr for gaming.

    https://www.manualeduso.it/philips/43pus6523/manuale?p=51

This are the specifics of my tv screen. Am I doing something wrong or it’s just because my tv can’t support hdr on a next gen console?

I would find it very strange cause I could use effectively hdr on this very tv with my ps4, and now the quality of the images seems decrease.

    :)

You will have to log in your accounts again, that's all

I recently got a Xbox series S and on Microsoft flight simulator the HDR10 graphics setting is greyed out and can’t be turned on. What can I do to turn it on ?

Hello Harvey,my name is Marvina, I will be happy to help you.

I am very sorry for what you are going through, to enable HDR10 in the Microsoft flight simulator, follow these steps:

Turn on your Xbox Series S.

    Start the Microsoft flight simulator.

Press the Menu button on the controller.

    Select Options.

    Select Video.

In the HDR section, set HDR to On.
    Select Apply.

If this setting is grayed out or cannot be activated, your TV may not support HDR10.

You can check your TV's compatibility with HDR10 in the TV's manual or on the TV manufacturer's website.

If your TV supports HDR10, you may need to perform the following steps to fix the issue:

Make sure your TV is set to HDR mode. You can find this setting in your TV's settings menu.

Make sure your Xbox Series S is connected to your TV via an HDR-compatible HDMI cable.

Restart your Xbox Series S and your TV.

    Sincerely,
    Marvina.

    Xbox one S HDR Stutter

No auto brightness enabled, and definitely not a vizio problem. My friend has the same tv and an xbox one s and his doesnt do it. HDR through the tv app works fine, 4k through xbox one S works fine, its only when HDR is enabled that the stutter exists.

Xbox One X says TV doesn’t support 4K HDR

Are you using a reciever with hdmi bypass. If yes, is the receiver compatible hdcp2.2. Are you using hdmi 2.0 cables? If yes, too both check reciever settings. I had to enable a special setting on my Yamaha receiver get Hdr to work.

Otherwise, sometime the TV's are not setup out of the box to support Hdr. You might have to enable settings inside the TV menus. Try to google "enable Hdr (TV model).

    Series S & HDR?

yes as i have a series S and all HDR compat games launch in HDR, you can use the HDR calibration tool in the settings tab on the xbox.

it may also be wise to recalibrate your TV , again you can do this with help from the settings menu, there are also other websites like https://www.which.co.uk/reviews/televisions/article/how-to-connect-devices-to-your-tv/getting-the-best-tv-picture-adbBi9E1jDjX

where as you can input your TV details and it will give you the best settings, it may also be worth while cheking youtube and the likes to ensure that you have all the correct settings enabled.

Also ensure that you have an HDMI 2.1 cable as the one in the box is a standard HDMI not 2.1
