Unable to enable cloud storage

hi. I am unable to enable cloud storage because i do not have a hard drive...but, i have a 16gb usb drive which i have used for cloud storage just the other day. I just got a new xbox360 and all of a sudden i am unable to get my forza horizon 2 cloud save
as it will not let me get cloud storage. Any help?

Whether things changed since the date of that thread I do not know but basing an answer on the above link you cannot use a USB device with the Cloud, it has to be a Microsoft hard drive or the internal memory unit.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

That info on the support website needs updating as it does indeed state that you can use a USB device, unless of course they made it so you can use a USB device and I'm missing something somewhere.

What do I need to use the cloud?

In order to utilize the cloud storage function, you will need to have both a Gold subscription to LIVE and at least 514 MB of free space on an HDD or internal memory unit.
