Unable to download Witcher 2 on Xbox One

I have been trying to download Witcher 2 via xbox.com for my xbox one. when I click to buy the game it says that my account cannot complete the transaction and I need to complete the action on my xbox. When I do the same on my Xbox the same message appears.

How do I download the game?

I have the same issue. It keeps failing at random percentages. I have more than enough space and I'm on a wired (not wifi) connection.

i tried downloading when it first came available with games with gold and it didn't work. i thought it was just because so many people were trying to get it at once so i left it alone for a few days. so of the other games did the same thing and it downloaded
without a problem after not trying for a few days. I tried again after a week and it still didn't want to download, it did the same for the next few times that week. i left it alone till earlier today and it failed to download twice so far. is there something
wrong with the game that it won't download or is there something else that is causing the failure that i am unaware of?

 

You can't do it on the xbox one only thru edge

Your account region must reflect your actual region

If you don't live in an xbox live region you can't get it

Make sure you when you go to xbox.com on your computer that you are looking at the same region site you are from. eg if you are in Australia make sure you are looking at Australia's xbox.com website. Find Witcher 2 on the games page and you should be able
to but the game for Free. (Witcher 2 is not freely available in Japan).

If you are in Australia and go to the US xbox.com website it will not allow you to get the game from there. (You can change the region for xbox.com website at the bottom left of the home page).

 

I checked and both website and console are in UK region

This is the exact message I keep receiving:

Sorry

Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox.

 

Your failing there 3Rd checked that's why

Some games require 3 checks incljding the console which you need to use a friends console.or rent a console of you really want the game to pass the 3Rd check

 

Once that's done there shouldn't be any issues unless you change regions

 

OK, Here's how to get it in Australia.....

Go to: marketplace.xbox.com/.../66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024e4d0855

Purchase the Xbox 360 version for free (first download on the page)

On your Xbox one, open my games and apps. Scroll all the way too the right in the games section. It should be available for download.

I found the link by logging into xbox.com.au and searching for "withcer 2" it was the second link in the general section.

 

you have to use the internet such as safari microsoft edge but witcher 2 will no longer be available after today it wont work if you try to do it on the xbox one

 

New to Xbox one, and unable to download/purchase the Witcher 2. I know it's no longer free, but is it not available to purchase? And why not? Buying disc separately probably won't work since I will still need to download compatibility version...right?

To queue 360 or purchase 360 games you must have a matching account region and actual region and a valid payment option for that rwgion
