Unable to download and play a game that has previously been bought on Xbox Live marketplace.

Hello everyone, the titles says it all.

A while ago I bought Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning at the Marketplace, I downloaded the game smoothly and could play it without any issues. Now I wanted to replay it and redownload it. Unfortunately the downloaded data always ends up being corrupted
and cannot be played. This is extremely infuriating because I bought this article on the games on demand section and can't play it anymore.

I bought his game in Austria while I was studying there and now I'm currently located in Luxembourg, I'm fairly sure that the issue is tied to the region and here in Luxembourg you don't have support for any kind of games or applications. Basically I can't
access anything that I bought except it's already on my hard drive.

This is totally unacceptable and a bad practice, furthermore I tried changing my region back but I can't even access my profile options on this site because I'm always greeted with an error. This issue has been appearing for a week now. I can't even change
my options anymore?

I'm politely asking for help, but this is again a extremely frustrating situation and it's not the first time that I had massive issues with my xbox live account. Thanks for helping out.

Missing items in my microsoft / xbox account

I am a long time member of xbox live, if I look in my xbox live purchases on the xbox website I can see items in it that do not appear in my microsoft account purchase history. The issue is I want to download and play Undead Nightmare collection. If I look
in my xbox live purchase history I can see it there along with large amounts of previously downloaded DLC content, however on xbox one marketplace / microsoft it does not have any purchase history for me before 2011.

I previously bought Red dead redemption limited edition pack, I then rebought it through the marketplace last month (I was too lazy to go rooting through my box of 360 items in the attic!). I have neared the end of RDR and wanted to play undead nightmare
but due to this error between the two accounts I am unable to download undead nightmare collection without having to buy it again.

Is there some way to reconcile the two lists together so that my previously purchased items all register to me?

well as long as you don't live in an xbox live country you will always have issues regardless

that's not something ms can fix that's your issue

as with all online services you and ms have to abide by international laws

region locks are set by international laws and control what content goes where

regardless of where you say you are

it is your actual location that matters

Is it content you have previously bought and are trying to re-download?

Is it still available on the marketplace?, it could have been discontinued.

It is to my knowledge that ALL "Games on Demand" games require you to be connected to Xbox Live. I have previously tried playing a game bought via the marketplace and when I went to play it whilst offline from Xbox Live it required me to sign in.

I think it is under a similar 'DRM' that Microsoft were trying to introduce to the Xbox ONE with the ability to play a game without the disc offline for 24 hours, which in this case would be a downloaded game from the marketplace.

Like it said I think this is why, but am not 100% sure.

Hi there,

when games are bought via the game marketplace they run directly from the hard drive, and no dvd (disk) is needed to play the game.

The game bought via the marketplace is a download and when the file is downloaded from the marketplace it resides on the hard drive and that is all you need to be able to play the game

So in short: You should be able to play a game that is bought via the xbox live games section of the console
