    Hello my name is Nathan Fox, I've been trying to contact Xbox and Microsoft support to resolve this issue but cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I've literally spent an hour on a call with Xbox support yesterday and they literally couldn't figure it out, told me they'd call me back the next day, and they didn't. I literally just want to download Minecraft on my Acer Nitro 5 without having to purchase it again. I've literally had a Microsoft account registered under my Xbox 1 for over 5 years with Minecraft bought and downloaded onto my console, so this shouldn't be a problem. However, I have run into several difficulties since. For starters, on the Xbox companion and app store, Minecraft will not show up, I can only see the game under my achievements on my profile, but am unable to click and play on them. While on the Xbox website, Minecraft will show up if you search for it, but then when I go to download it, it’ll ask which device I want to install it on, and only my Xbox 1 Console will show up. When I go to look into it deeper, it says that my location for my laptop is disabled, which makes absolutely no sense because I had to enable my location when setting up my Microsoft account in order to use my laptop that I just bought. If I can get any insight on this issue it would be much appreciated as I still cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.

    because the stores are merged, you see the purchases for console and pc there. you have minecraft for console but not pc you need to purchase a copy of the game for each platform you play on.

    Yeah but that doesn't seem to be the problem because when I go to select my devices it shows my laptop as an option. I just don't know why my location is disabled. Why does my laptop as an option to download the game says 'Location Disabled' on the right side of my device when I go to 'Get more info on your device list' Why is it there if it is only for Xbox and not Windows 10? That doesn't make any sense.

    And the one it shows in your purchases is "Minecraft for Windows 10" not just "Minecraft" right? "Minecraft" is the console version. If you haven't purchased "Minecraft for Windows 10" you would need to purchase that in order to play it on the PC. When you get the message that it's looking for a device, it's usually looking for a console.

    Yeah it shows up on the game store, it just tells me that I have to buy it again, even though it shows me in my pass purchases that I have bought it and have the option to download it onto my device. But that just comes back to selecting which device I want to download the game on. That is the main problem that I have right now at the moment, is enabling my location on the device so I can select it when choosing which device I want to download the game with. I am not sure where that is located in my settings. I've gone through my Acer's settings and have seen my location settings. I am not sure why Microsoft tells me that my location is disabled, it just doesn't make any sense to me.

    Use the Microsoft Store app. The Xbox app is showing Game Pass games and Minecraft is not available through Game Pass for PC which is why it's not showing.

    Some games can be purchased on the console and redownloaded for free on the PC because they are Play Anywhere titles. Unfortunately Minecraft is not one of those. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-play-anywhere Some games may also just be part of the Game Pass you purchased .
