    Unable to downgrade Elite Series 2 controller for PC


    About 6 months ago, my controller received an update and I was no longer able to use the "Accessories" app to customize it.

    I've tried both methods listed here to downgrade but neither work for me. I now have an almost $200 controller that can only function the same as a $60 controller. Looking at reviews for the "Accessories" app, I am clearly not alone in this issue. Has anybody found a recent working solution to this issue?

    Unfortunately there is no known fix for it. Several users reported this on the forum lately. I would suggest you to submit a feedback to the Xbox team responsible for implementing new features or fixing bugs by following the instructions at:

    There was a new update released, can you try updating your Elite Series 2 controller again?

    I also have the Elite Series 2 controller and I do not run into these issues when using it with the PC.

Just bought a pc and connected controller which works perfectly however I am unable to configure my controller due to the "app not supporting my firmware on my controller"? Im a little confused. It's an xbox elite series 2 controller so how does the app not support it?

    I have the same problem. I would appreciate option to downgrade firmware on PC because I do not own Xbox console, but when I open link using Xbox Accessories app I have no instructions to follow. Only usual screen with my Elite 2 controller loaded.

    How do I start downgrade process?
