"Unable to create system data." (Persona 5 Royal on PC Gamepass)

Hi there! I was quite happily enjoying this game until a few days ago when there was a sudden update. The game kept closing itself out after I tried to launch it, so I backed up my save files and reinstalled the game. Upon doing so, I am greeted with the error of "Unable to create system data." and "Unable to save system data." I can create new save files and trying to change any of the configuration settings in the menu gives me this same error.

    Things I have done:

    1. Uninstalled and reinstalled twice
    2. Updated my drivers
    3. Ensured it was a clean install
    4. Cleaned up my system registry
    5. Screamed at the empty sky at uncaring god who has no time for my first world problems

    OS: Windows 10 64bit

    Processor: Intel Core i5-7500

    RAM: 8.00 GB

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

I've tried googling but nothing seemed to come up that matched my circumstances. I've seen other people say it's because the graphics card couldn't handle the game but like I said, I had zero problems until around the 18th. I was more than halfway through the game.

    :)

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.
I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today despite this AODHANBOLO

Please tell me, is this “unable to create/save xxxx” message appears no matter if you restore or not your saved data?
Or only appears when you put the saved data in the path dedicated for the saved data?

In the meantime, let’s try to isolate the problem a bit more:

    A. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily
Restart the PC and try again

    B. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again

    C. Create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there

    Hi,

I don't know if it is the same problem or not, but I once encounter this and successfully solve this. Also, it seems like it works for other too.

It is likely that your user data file name is the problem. You know that system might sometimes be sensitive with special character or space... This happens on many games, and the solution that I found might help you deal with this.

It is that you should change your user folder name to english character only, and to be sure, don't add any space into that. I suggest you create something like another account on your computer (like a guest account) with english character only, and then you may enjoy your game.

    Hope this help!

Was trying to fix this for over a week and was able to by turning on AVX/AVX2 in the cpu settings of my bios.

Just build the pc and it was set to disabled.

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello Diego, save is accessed through the app with your account logged into the PC, this may be some xbox app bug, try to check if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 22H2.

See which version of Windows 10 you have

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/see...

Updates are often seen as optional.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

After this, try the procedures below.

Using System File Checker in Windows

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/usi...

    chkdsk

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server...

1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator.

    2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v

Being in use the system will ask if the user wants to check the chosen drive after reboot. Just type S and restart the computer.
