    Hi All,

    My son is an ardent fan of Flight Simulators and is eagerly waiting for news on the upcoming MS-FS 2020. He has a working Live.com ID which he is trying to use for registering his XBox profile so that he can be a full-fledged insider on the FS 2020 portal
    and get news updates etc. During the Xbox profile creation process, the workflow asks for Parental Consent and asks for an adult's Microsoft Id. When we use my personal Live.com ID, the workflow tries signing me in and goes into a loop which finally ends with
    an error message. Facing this issue for almost a month now.

    Looking for a suggestion/workaround/resolution to proceed and create my son's XBox profile. Any help appreciated.

    Hey there :)

    it seems that the system is not recognize your password...

    Cause the error it's saying "too many attempts... please try later"

    Just a question, your account is already registered on xbox live??

    I understand that it is working properly with all the other systems. There might just be a hiccup with it being used with this system.

    Have you tried turning it off though just to see if that might be the cause of the problem during your troubleshooting?

    He has a @Live.com email address?

    Or

    Are you trying to have him create a totally new account with a new email address?

    If he has an @live.com email address then that is already a MS account and would not be able to be used to establish a new MS account/Xbox profile what you may want to try is if his account already has an email attached to it is to sign in at account.microsoft.com
    with that email and password and see if it already brings up a MS account for him.

    It seems possible there might be some problem with using the authenticator app.

    Is it possible that you could try turning off using the authenticator app for this instance to see if that will allow you to get past this problem then you could turn it back on afterwards.
    I'm a software architect and very well aware of these systems. Have exhausted all my troubleshooting options before posting this issue on the forums. The Authenticator app is working perfectly as I use it at least 20 times in a day and till now never had
    an issue.

    That's not entirely correct. Yes, he has a working Live.com account. When he uses that account to sign in to xbox.com, the sign-in goes through and prompts him to create an XBox profile as having a Live account is different from having an XBox profile.
    It is the XBox profile creation which is stuck in the 2nd-3rd step...
