Unable to continue playing Nowhere Prophet on Game Pass for PC

I started playing Nowhere Prophet on Game Pass for PC within the past month. Now, when I try to launch it, a window for the Windows store pops up instead. It wants me to download Gaming Services, which I already have. I have tried launching a couple of other games with no issues.

If you have the Game Pass for PC or the Ultimate Game Pass (which includes PC) then you can download the PC version of the game and continue playing on your account

It's being added to Game Pass for PC today so you will be able to play it for free with Game Pass. You would still need to purchase it if you want to continue playing without Game Pass.

If we're unable to purchase a game that's leaving Game Pass to continue playing, that is ridiculous. This is a package of 2 games that are at least 60hrs each to play through, and Xbox gives very little notice that they're leaving.

Since I don't really play online, it (the online pass) doesn't bother (affect) me. I stay away from EA games mostly because they suck anymore.
