Unable to Connect to Xbox Live - NAT Type Issues?

Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble connecting to Xbox Live on my console. It says my NAT type is strict, and I'm experiencing lag and connectivity issues while trying to join multiplayer games. I've tried restarting my router and console, but the problem persists. My internet connection otherwise seems to be working fine. Has anyone faced similar issues and found a solution? Any advice on how to change the NAT type to open or troubleshoot this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Please enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play).

Access your router settings by typing your router's IP address into your web browser.

Log in with your router credentials.

Look for the UPnP settings and enable it.

Save the changes and restart your router and Xbox console.

And then Port Forwarding.

Access your router settings again.

Find the port forwarding section.

Enter the necessary ports for Xbox Live (you can find a list of required ports online).

Here are the list of the ports:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

Save the changes and restart your router and Xbox console.

Next is to clear persistent storage.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

Select Clear persistent storage and restart your console.

I would suggest testing your Xbox Live connection and see if you get a NAT warning saying your Nat is Moderate or Strict. If you do try the steps in the article below to resolve your issue.
