Unable to connect to internet with Ethernet on Xbox Series

Hi there Xbox Community!

I was hoping you may be able to help me with this issue. I have had a Xbox Series S for a few weeks or so. Sometimes, it runs poorly when it comes to WiFi. I tried plugging in my Perfect Working Ethernet cable into my Xbox and began running into some sort of Bug/Glitch. When I searched up the issue, I saw that other people were dealing with the same issue but couldn't find any fixes for it.

When I plug the cable into the Xbox. It pops up saying "Wired Connection" then a second later "Service is unavailable" another second later... Fully disconnects me from the internet.. then another second later.. it reconnects and repeats non stop. I tried clearing the MAC Address but got no results. Any advice..?

Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Miguel O., Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue!

First, please proceed to do a power cycle to fix the issue

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

Important If your console is in Sleep mode, the above steps will shut the console off completely. Sleep mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying "Xbox on," won't be enabled until you restart the console.

Unfortunately my xbox refuses to accept even an internet connection now. The modem that it is connected to tells me that an internet connection is present, but the Xbox seems unable to receive it. Again, i just bought a new ethernet cable, so it can't be
that, could it be an issue with my xbox?

Did you manage to fix the connectivity issue? My Series X constantly drops connection to xbox live/internet despite an ethernet cable being used.

Yea tried these suggestions and thanks for trying but also does not work. Still receive the same error and still unable to connect. When doing the xbox live connection test cannot pass the network to internet step and im using a wiredd ethernet

xbox 360 to network says connected

network to internet says error DNS whatever but I dont see how this is possible im using a wireddd ethernet not wireless have never ran into any problems or seen anyone else have this problem with a wiredd connection...

unable to reach internet to xbox live connected under the TEST so yeah....unless xbox wants to send someone from geek squad and fix this ?

Is it normal that there is some internet issues on the xbox series s and can i fix it

It used to work

"some internet issues" is pretty vague but try restarting your Xbox series s and if that doesn't work forget your Wi-Fi network then re-connect to it? lastly maybe try an ethernet cable?
