unable to communicate to friends on the xbox app

for the last 2 weeks I have been unable to hear or talk to friends on the xbox app.My other laptop runs the app perfectly(but cant play games) and my tablet also works fine.The problem seems confined to my gaming laptop.The mic works as do the speakers
and the app has permission to use them.have reset the app a couple of times but nothing.Hopefully someone has a (simple) solution

Mines wasnt working but i delete it and install it again now is working fine

Sorry for the issue with your Xbox app on PC.

Corrupted data may cause your app to not work properly. here are two steps on how to isolate the system issue:

1. Perform a clean boot, this helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update, or when you run a program in Windows 10. Here is a

guide on how to perform a clean boot.

2. Here is a
guide on how to download the apps troubleshooter.

Hi, my friend has the pc version from the xbox app, and as said before he is unable to join due to not receiving a notification of the invite, he is on pc but is using the xbox app to play with me

There's already a sticky thread at the top of this page that tells you this & all about xbox live enforcement.

No one takes any notice of that so they wont take any notice of your thread.

For some reason the majority of people don't bother reading things on these forums before posting.

People will still contact support & support will still send them to the forums.
