Be happy to help, but can you let us know what you're trying to accomplish via the privacy settings? And what platform are you playing on?

I would also recommendhttps://www.youtube.com/user/bigjohnmediaI found he has answered a TON of questions I've had getting Minecraft working right for me and my kids when we encounter a problem. He has a ton of videos covering a ton of different questions around Minecraft that could very likely help resolve your issue
    easily.

    Hello,

To change your Microsoft account privacy settings, sign in to the privacy & online safety page, which you should be able to access through the page you’re referring to. You can also make these changes on an Xbox One, Series X|S console or through the Xbox Family settings app.

When adjusting any account settings, make sure to select “submit” to confirm and save these changes.

Note: If you’re using a child account, you’ll need an adult in your family to sign in to their Microsoft account to change your privacy settings.

After allowing the necessary privacy settings and you’re still unable to play online multiplayer in Minecraft Realms, here is a Multiplayer troubleshooting page:

Hope this helps, happy gaming! :)

I joined a minecraft realm with my friend yesterday but then today when i tried to get back on today it said i needed game pass to join my friends on minecraft now. why is this the case?

To change the Minecraft Realm privacy for everyone, follow these steps:

Sign in to your Xbox account.
Open the Xbox app and select “Minecraft.”
Select “Settings” and then “Privacy and security.”
Select “Change online privacy and security settings.”
Select “Everyone” to allow anyone to join your Realm, or select “Friends” to allow only your friends to join.
    Save the changes.
