Unable to buy gold memberships

I cancelled xbox game pass ultimate 2 months ago on the 5th March. I went to buy gold membership today and wasnunable to as it says i am still subscribed to xbox game pass ultimate but thst my membership expired on 5/03/2020. This means i cant get online
asnut has expired butni cant cant purchae another membership as it has expired.

Can anyone suggest a way to solve this issue?

You need to check at account.microsoft.con if rhe subscription is cancelled or is in dunning with an open balance. If it is the second than for now the way is to pay the outstanding balance or to wait until it expired. In the second case you will not be
able to use another subscription for now. You can also contact the support and they will check if maybe the sibscription is stucked.

That code usually means you have some sort of billing violation. Go to
https://billing.microsoft.com and make sure all of your information is correct and up to date. If you can't fix it there, you'll need to call support and talk to billing.

You can't buy gold membership with prepaid cards. To purchase gold membership you should have a valid method of payment included in your account or you can buy a prepaid gold membership card.

Well then how do I upgrade to a gold membership? Because it wont allow me to buy a gold membership.
