Unable to buy Dark Souls on Xbox One and Xbox.com

Hi,

I own an Xbox One and would like to play Dark Souls (I). I understand it is a Backwards Compatible Xbox 360 title. However when I try to buy it on my Xbox One in the marketplace it gives an error saying that it cannot be bought on Xbox One: try via Xbox.com
or Xbox 360. Next I tried Xbox.com (I don't own a 360). However I get an error there aswell after selecting my Creditcard and clicking buy. It say my order cannot be completed, try again. I have searched online for possible solutions and tried removed and
re-added my creditcard but this did not help.

Any suggestions how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Dark Souls 3 Pre-order - Never received the code for DS1

@DENAz666, that is either a blatant lie, or you need to check your sources.

1.) The link you provided is broken.

2.) It does not say get Dark Souls on 360, nor does it say playable on the One "at a later date."

Not sure who exactly is at fault here, but it needs to be made known, and an apology needs to be made. Many people were wrongly encouraged to pre-order this game, and this is not right. Fix it.

 

Pre-Ordered Dark Souls 3 on Feb. 22 still haven't received my code for Dark Souls 1

Clearly says PLAYABLE on Xbox One and clearly says WITHIN 7-10 days.

Actually, as of now, all 360 games are not yet available for purchase through the xbox one store. You may need to purchase them either on an xbox 360 console or online on the website. However, since most of the 360 contents are region specific. For you to
be able to purchase them, you need to be on the same region where you're trying to buy the content and using a valid credit card for that same region.

This is one of the issues when players who owns an xbox one wishes to get a 360 game but does not live under one of the xbox live supported countries. Another thing to consider as well is if the account is a child account. You will not be able to purchase
360 contents online on the web if the account is registered as child. Even if you try to change your privacy settings, the system will still not allow the purchase to go through.

 

I, as well, am having this problem. However, i live in the U.S. and I've previously purchased dark souls 1 on 360 and yet when i try to download it via the backwards compatibility it says, "Try buying on Xbox.com or Xbox 360. At the moment, this can't be
purchased on xbox one (0x8c 150020)

 

If your account is under a certain age (Based off DoB) you can not make the purchase online. You have to be on the console. This is so the parent controls actually work. 360 parent controls were partially localized by console...

If you already own it you don't have to buy it again but that is a different issue and you should make a new post DamianDemirius.

As patrat46 stated, your situation is a bit different than Python 1990nl's was so in this case you'll want to create a new post so that we can understand your situation a little bit better.

Also, since you stated that you had already purchased it, you'd want to check in the

Ready to Install section on the console to download the game and then you'll be able to launch the game from the Games section of

My Games and Apps.

If you're not seeing the game in the Ready to Install section, you'll want to check with other accounts on the console that might have also obtained the game, It's possible the purchase was made using a different account and this would be another way to
check.
