Unable to assign a new password after resetting password

I recently bought a new XB1S and tried logging into my account, however, I forgot the password.

I've reset my password like 50 times at this point, but for whatever reason, I cannot assign a new password to my account which is effectively means I'm locked out of my own account that has like 5 subscriptions and 50 games on it.

When I try to assign a new password, I receive this message:

There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later.

I've checked the servers and they are up. There doesn't appear to be any issues with the services at all... WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!

bf4: phantom program. codes and such.

DICE has always been very creative in putting Easter eggs in the game. This Phantom program is the epitome of it. the amount of brains that were used to decode that password is impressive. Nice work to whoever decoded the password. The camo after completing the assignment looks very cool though.

 

Why can't I set a password after resetting my password?

My old school xb1 one from 2013 finally crapped out on me. We had a good go, but it was his time to go... I bought a brand new XB1 S and discovered I had forgotten my account password. I ran thru the steps of recovering my password (email, reset, reset number,
enter new passwords) but discovered that I CANNOT ASSIGN MY ACCOUNT A NEW PASSWORD!!!

After resetting, I continue to receive this error message while trying to assign the new password:

There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later.

My old account has xbox gold, and a lot of subscriptions set up that I need access to.

Please help!
