Unable to ‘Allow 4K’ without disabling hdr

    Hi,

For the past three weeks, i am unable to allow 4k on my xbox one x without having to disable hdr on my monitor or television. It seems to only happen now and i haven’t changed anything.

Tried doing multiple things including a full reset and buying a new HDMI but nothing seems to fix it. On rare occasions, i can get HDR to work but i get really bad flickering and then no signal or black screen.

    Any ideas?

    :)

Unable to ‘Allow 4K’ without disabling hdr

    Hi,

I’ve tried a 4k monitor with HDR and that doesn’t work. I’ve also tried another 4k TV but that doesn’t also work.

This looks to be an issue with the Xbox.

A fault in the television or in your Xbox?

Have you maybe tried replacing the HDMI cable? It's a possible problem, but I also know that the HDMI cables bundled with all Xbox One consoles since launch are capable of delivering 4K resolution.

Unable to ‘Allow 4K’ without disabling hdr

    Hi,

I am using a Panasonic TX-43GX550B. I updated the firmware but i still get the same issue. Looking at forums, some people say its a bug from the last update or there is a fault with either the HDMI port or HDMI timer chip.

A couple of thoughts here. First, can you share the make and model of television you're using? Second, have you tried updating the television's firmware? Many newer model TVs (especially smart TVs with built-in apps) have Internet connectivity and can
receive firmware updates that fix or improve features.
