    Unable to adjust my chat mixer


    Hi, I have a turtle beach headset that I have used with a previous Xbox and worked and was able to chat fine. I have disconnected it from that Xbox and connected the headphones to an Xbox x. Now the chat mixer option is greyed out and I am unable to adjust it. I can hear games not a problem just unable to hear anybody in a party chat. I have tried all settings and all sound options and still nothing. I don't have any buttons on my headphones to change any settings. Can anybody help please

    Sound/audio

    Hi YonEer

    Your chat mixer may be set to focus only on the conversation. To adjust the level of sound while communicating, adjust the Chat mixer

    settings:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select System > Settings.
    Select Display & sound > Volume.
    Select Chat mixer, the choose one of the options.

    Ok, in the sound mixer, you see the second option? The slider is all the way to the right on the “person” which is game chat. Are you saying inthe post with that picture that you are unable to adjust that slider?

    UPDATE.

    I figured it out.

    Hard reset the xbox with the headset plugged in. The new controller has the chat mixer turned all the way to chat and not to game . Put the mixer back to the middle and it works. Without the hard restart, the option to adjust the chat mixer is gone.
