    How do I add Xbox friends so I can cross play games like civ and remnant? My Xbox friend says he is unable to find my steam name to add me even though he linked his steam account to his Xbox. Do I need 2 link my steam account to s Xbox account? Can you not cross play over steam only if I bought the pc game through Microsoft ? Xbox has a section to add steam friends so I don’t understand?

    Your Steam app. You have to add them like any Steam friend and vice versa

    There is no integration between Steam and Xbox backends for such a transfer.
