Unable to add money to child account

Hi there,

I would appreciate some help. I am unable to add money onto my child's account - meaning he is unable to buy games for his xbox. I've tried a numebr of debit/credit cards, and also tried redeeming a gift voucher (25 chars long). All are unsuccessful. I also
appear to have a balance of £20 which is in excess of the mount by son wants to spend. All return me the response 'Contact Microsoft support - We can't process your payment'.

I've tried Microsoft Support but appear to be going round in circles through the FAQs and would appreicate talking to someone. So:

a) has anyone had the same issue and been able to resolve it or

b) How to I speak to someone from MS from the UK!

if your child is trying to by a game or dlc there is an option to gift it to them so you could save the hassle of adding money to there acount

Hello Johnny_J I'm experiencing the same exact problem and was wondering if you ever got it resolved. Support has been no help and just basically told me to try another payment method but no matter what I get the same kind of error you've reported.

Thank you for your replay. Unfortunately this does not help. I have been through these pages quite a bit and tried these in advance of raising the issue including trying 'Turn On parent apoproval'. No matter how I try to make payment, I get the same response
as indicated above.

Thanks for coming to the forums for help. Sorry to hear that you're having issues with crediting a child account. You may have the approval setting turned on which may be preventing you from making the transaction. Here's a link that may help Add
