Unable to access windows updates and install or update games on Xbox launcher app

Hi George,

I was getting and error to install, then I removed all previous Minecraft Launchers using windows ccleaner unistaller, so right now I have no other launcher installed.

My windows version is win 10 ver 22h2 and is uptodated.

Xbox app was uninstalled and reinstalled from the ms store using powershell

Xbox companion is installed

Did the system file checks: dism and sfc as requested

Did the chkdsk as requested

Xbox app still unable to detect my harddisk size to install the launcher.

My PC drivers are updated

My Mstore and xbox account are the same, this email.

Downloaded the last windows launcher from Minecraft.net

This new installer is giving this error: 0xUnknowappinstall

I just got a new update request on the xbox app, will test it asap.

You will need to update Windows to 1903 in order to download the Xbox (beta) app game launcher and then you will be able to download games available in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If the update is not being offered in your Windows update settings, try running
the Xbox (beta) app installer and it should also walk you through updating Windows.

If you still can't update Windows to download the app, then try using the Update Assistant: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10

No problem, let's try this in that case:

First uninstall actual minecraft launcher.

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

Now, sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store and do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Sign in again on both Microsoft store and Xbox app with your account and install minecraft launcher

Just to double check if the issue is with any minecraft launcher

You're welcome. Did this error message appear when you tried to install the game via Microsoft Store or Mojang launcher? Could you follow these steps and try to install the game via the store or launcher again?

Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.

1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this with the launcher too.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner>downloads updates>get updates and update everything.

5. Restart your PC, log in to both apps and see if that solves the problem.

Try this to fix the deep ocean error:
