Unable to access old email. How do I transfer games on Xbox to new email

If I transfer my XBOX Live account to my new email, will the games I purchased be associated to the new email as well? How will I play the games I purchased using the old email?

The only way around this is give your son your old Microsoft account and create a new one for yourself and transfer your emails over.

Even if you create a new email alias on the old account, the content is still linked to this account and can still be accessed through his Xbox.

Please note, email aliases cannot be transferred between account. So won't be able to add the old alias to the new account. Even if you do change it.

I have the same problem. The email on my xbox live account is years old, I have no access to it anymore, and I am unable to add a new email because "I still need to verify my email." That's pretty difficult considering I no longer have access to it. Great
