um im trying to set my gamertag to trollface and it wont work

if you already tried a couple of times and it is being denied, then I assume the gt is either blocked or already taken.

Maybe your Xbox know something and is trying to save you and itself from playing a rubbish title *trollface*

im trying to sign into xbox but it wont work

hi um you can try signing in to another account or skip sign in go to settings and clear system cash if it wont let you or dose not work try copying your profile on to a usb or different xbox delete it but not the items then re-download your profile and
try signing in if that do not work you may need a new user (only do that if you try everything from me or any other users ideas and dont work ) i hope that helped

Ok, so Im trying to change my gamertag from my current one, but I can’t, every time I try to change my gamertag it says “Something went wrong. Try your gamertag again.”. I have tried to do it on the website, and Ive been patient too, I’ve waited an entire week and it hasn’t worked once, and yes, I have the money, it is on my xbox, Ive restarted too many times to count, signed in and out, troubleshooting doesnt help, and it wont change.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

They are aware. It's a global issue, but they are working on a fix.
