Ultimate Word Games lagging badly when using the app but not on browser?

I've been playing Wordament for a few years now on Ultimate Word Games on PC and never once had an issue with it. However, the past week or so, it has been lagging to the point of being unplayable. When ads are running at the bottom, the game basically locks and, while the banner ad is playing, you can't do a single thing on the board until the ad ends and then you have about a 5 second gap between ads to try and get some words in. I thought maybe it was a problem with my PC's storage space so I checked but there is no issue there, there is easily enough storage space for things to be running perfectly fine. I cleared a bunch of space anyway but unsurprisingly, no change to the game's lag. I also tried restarting my computer just in case. However, when I loaded up Wordament in the browser version, it ran smooth as anything. No lag, no freezing/locking - just straightforward gameplay. Thing is, I can't bring my progress across from the application to the browser version as I don't believe you can sign into your Microsoft account when playing the browser version. I noticed the lag improved slightly when I disabled scoring animations but even then it's still awful. It's frustrating because the ads play completely fine, no hint of lag, whilst the game is completely locking on me.

it seems to only affect the Microsoft Edge Browser Xbox Cloud Gaming, when i use the PC Xbox App, it seems to save, but it keeps disconecting due to my internet, so i use the browser which for me is faster and doesnt lag as much as the app does, and this issue happens to every game on the web version of xcloud

I'm getting the same error when trying to access Microsoft Ultimate Word Games. No problem with Solitaire, or logging in directly to the XBox app. Please someone fix it.

yeah I probably worded it badly I was agreeing with you. If your worried you can unplug it when you aren't playing. I presented it badly my bad lol.
