maybe you should take advantage of the offers to get gold or xbox gamepass ultimate (which merges gamepass and gold) for a doser give you 3 months, since your request should be to epic and that they pay the online and everyone can play if the gold

Nope this is my first game pass ultimate offer I will be taken ave always had gold membership seperately I have only ever taken advantage of the ordinary gamepass offer once and that is all

You don't have to buy the Ultimate Gamepass, you can just keep buying Xbox Live to play online. There really is no catch for the UGP accept you have to have both PC and Xbox to game on to take advantage of it.
