    UK Digital TV Tuner Problems

    Hi all,

sorry if this been answered somewhere. I bought a digital tv tuner on sat, plugged it in and all fine all channels loaded and watched no problems.

Today it wouldn't load and it kept telling me please plug in the tv tuner.

I so unplugged it reset all my settings and tried scanning all the channels again, the tuner picks up the channels and then as it gets to the end of the process it keeps telling me

'unable to scan your channels please try again later'

So frustrated by this as it tells me my channels are there but wont finalise the process and keeps telling me to try again later.

    Any suggestions?

    Many Thanks

    Nick

    :)

@ Freeview is not built into every television set here in the UK and it is most commonly a Box you have to buy seperately, we in the UK have just recently gone from terrestrial TV with a wopping 5 channels to having to have a digital tuner, the
reason it is a box is because we have a choice of different providers, Sky, Freeview, Youview, Freesat, it will however eventually end up as standard that TVs will have built in digital tuners but thats not the case at the moment.

Ah Ok. Thats Different. I should have said the Digital Tuner is built into our tvs with allowing access to this one free to Air Service. On older tvs a set top box is required to get the signal to the tv but these are not provider dependent. Each box does
    the same thing.

The digital tv tuner was released to selected European countries, UK , France and Spain. Haven"t herd about it being released in Australia please provide link to source.

The digital tuner plugs into a usb port instead of the hdmi port. Its great if you don't have satellite or cable tv but as far as I know if you do its no solution.
