U.S. Xbox one S voltage requirement

I just bought a XBox One S from Best Buy and shipped it to my nephew in Jordan. I noticed that the box says that it’s compatibility with 110-240 power supply. With that being said, can they just plug in the xbox to the outlet witout a voltage inverter (from
110 to 220) or they’d still need to use the inverter?

Can I use my Xbox one (Indian unit) in USA by exchanging the Indian PSU for an American one?

If it's an older model xbox one with an external PSU then yes,you just need a U.S. power brick.

If it's an xbox one s then there's a switch on the console you can use to change it to the correct voltage.

I believe there is a switch on the console that you use to change the voltage depending on whether you are in the U.K. or U.S.

Don't have an One-S so can't say 100%

 

You should never ever use any type of voltage converter with your console.

As the xbox one s has an internal power "brick" there is a switch on the console that you can use for the correct voltage for the country it's being used in.

 

I like to add, that the plug itself may not fit the wall socket over there.
