    Typing on Xbox One Not Working


    So I've just started using the Xbox One Console Companion on my PC and its pretty cool. I don't have to change the PC monitor input to go from my PC screen to my Xbox anymore. Plus I noticed it had the cool benefit of letting me use my keyboard to type instead
    of using the Xbox keypad and having to slowly scroll to each letter with the controller analog stick.

    Or at least it use to. Without warning it suddenly stopped working and I don't understand why. The option saying "Show keyboard when I'm typing on my console" is checked but it won't let me use my PC keyboard anymore. I tried unchecking it and nothing happened.
    I looked everywhere in the app's settings and the console's settings and found nothing that looked like it would affect the keyboard.

    I have no idea why it stopped working but the nicest part about the Console Companion app is now gone for me. If anyone ever sees this and can help me I would really appreciate it.

    Hey, I don't often update my PC because Windows updates always break my PC, usually it prevents me from using programs and commonly prevents me from using 4K. One update corrupted my PC and caused me to lose everything on it, thankfully I keep a physcal
    back-up of all my photos and images so nothing was lost that I couldn't retrieve. Still, hours were spent re downloading and restoring my PC.

    Regardless, Just to humor the idea I did update my PC to see if it worked, and it sadly didn't. The Xbox Console Companion app aloud me to use my keyboard to type, and then the same day, maybe two or three hours later, it stopped.

    Thank you for keeping us updated. Is the application now making you use the Xbox keypad instead of the keyboard?
    We recommend making sure that
    Windows 10 is up to date    . Be sure to let us know the results!
