    My family just got a Series X for our living room. We have Game Pass Ultimate under the "Dad" profile. "Kid 1" and "Kid 2" have been playing their games under their profiles just fine. It is our home console.

    Our Xbox One is now upstairs. We would like to do the following things:

    1. Have Kid 1 or Kid 2 be able to play the Xbox One upstairs if the downstairs TV is busy.

    2. Have Kid 1 be able to play the Series X and Kid 2 be able to play the Xbox One at the same time, but with different games (Ex: Kid 1 is

    playing Forza on the Series X and Kid 2 playing Halo on the Xbox One at the same time).

    3. Have Kid 1 be able to play a game on the Series X and Kid 2 be able to play the same game on the Xbox One together at the same time

    (Example, both want to play Forza together at the same time).

    Which of these scenarios is possible? How do I set up the Series X and how do I set up the Xbox One? Does it matter if they are Game Pass games or games we own outright (Fortnite, Minecraft).

    To do this you would need to change the subscription to one of your child's accounts.
    The account that owns the subscription must be the home account on the console for the other accounts to be able to use the subscription and games.

    On the second console, you didn't have to do anything. Only use the account that has the subscription to play.

    Hello, if you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, then you only need one subscription for your two children to play together online.

    That's because Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes all the benefits of Xbox Game Pass Core, including access to online multiplayer games.

    If you have an Xbox Game Pass Core subscription, then you will need a subscription for each child. This is because Xbox Game Pass Core does not include access to online multiplayer games.

    If you have an Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription, then you don't need a subscription for your two kids to play together online. This is because online multiplayer games on PC are free.

    Unfortunately microsoft would like you to purchase the game twice. Its only fair, especially since they are at two seperate locations. Good call getting the family package, especially with two other kids. You can each play single player one at a time or
    at the same time on two different xboxs sometimes but if you guys want to enjoy playing on live with each other at the same time then you will have to purchase another copy of the game. Hope this is helpful, enjoy your family gaming.
