    Hi I need some help. My son has an Xbox one with live gold account. For Christmas my daughter got an Xbox one as well and we researched a lot on how they could share his live account. What we ended up doing was, we made my daughters Xbox my sons home Xbox
    like we had researched. My daughters xbox has connected to the wifi fine and we downloaded fornite to test if the xbox live was working on her xbox like we had hoped. It has taken this long since Christmas to try and work this out and we are failing. Fortnite
    downloads but we go through an endless loop of the game being over age and she needs permission and so I put in my Microsoft password since It requires my permission and then we go around in a loop and it asks for my password again and we can never ever get
    into fortnight to test if live is working. So we uninstalled fortnite thinking maybe that was the problem. Reinstalled it and still have the same issue. Both my kids microsoft accounts now have all restrictions removed and I’ve even gone as far as changing
    my daughters age to 21 so that it wont need my permission and that doesnt help. So this is now our new problem ontop of testing if xbox live is working. Its so frustrating, I’m not clued up on all the xbox ins and outs. So In order to test if the Xbox live
    is working we put the Minecraft disk in and installed Minecraft to test it that way and see if she could play online. She has accepted Friends on her Xbox she has my son and another friend. I don’t know if that is because the live is working or just the fact
    that we have the Wi-Fi connected. She sends an invite to a friend on Minecraft, her friend doesn’t get the invite. How do we get this Xbox live to work I’m so confused and frustrated I’m about to throw both these Xboxes in the dustbin, I feel like crying.

    So my questions are:

    1. How do I allow my children to share the xbox live gold on both xboxes succesfully?

    2. What cpuld be wrong with Fortnite and how do we fix the permissions?

    3. My son recently bought terraria on his xbox and it wont allow him to play online with friends, how do I resolve that issue?

    Most importantly though...question no1.

    It is true that in preparation for the Xbox One launch the family plan was discontinued and existing users were converted to standard LIVE Gold accounts. Reason being, the Xbox One is capable of enabling an Xbox LIVE Home Gold account instead. The Xbox
    LIVE Home Gold service allows ANY profile that logs into your Xbox One console to have access to your live services. I see the dilemma for you is that you want two Xbox(s) for two children. If it is not possible for them to share an Xbox One, then you really
    only have the option of purchasing two consoles and two standard LIVE Gold memberships. As for Netflix, if you only have one console and one LIVE Gold membership, you can only watch Netflix on that console. But, it you have two consoles and two LIVE Gold
    memberships, you should be able to watch Netflix on each console, provided that Netflix allows more than one user to be logged into the same Netflix account from different "locations". Otherwise, you might need two Netflix memberships too. If my siblings
    and I didn't want to share our Super Nintendo, my parents said "Tough dookie! Learn to share "your toys"". My, how times have changed. LOL

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are interested in learning how to share Xbox Live Gold between two different consoles. You will need to set up the account that has the recurring Xbox Live Gold subscription as the

    home console profile     on one of the consoles. The account will then share it's subscription and content to all other accounts on that console. We hope this helps!

    Yeah Gold works across the platforms so you only need gold on your Xbox Live account to use it on 360 and One. You're totally safe to renew, I'm renewed for the next two years already :)

    Xbox Live Gold on Two Consoles, with Three Accounts

    it is possible for one live account to work on two consoles, the catch is that the "parent" Gold will need to be signed in.

    For this to work for your situation, Parent Gold must set Xbox A as the HOME CONSOLE in the settings menu. All profiles on this xbox will have Gold ONLY WHILE USING THIS XBOX.

    Parent GOLD will then need to be signed in at all times on Xbox B to allow any gold features to be used.
