Two Xbox Series consoles will not allow me to play on Multiplayer servers.

So my Xbox Series X and S on my home network keeps kicking me out of in-game lobbies with the error "unable to connect to host".

I will be able to play a full round, maybe two, until I get this error. Then, the game will freeze, and kick me out of the lobby with the previously stated error.

This has happened across every multiplayer game I have tried (Chivalry 2, Apex Legends, Call of Duty: MW & MW2, Rocket League, and Battlefield V). This is obviously not an in-game, or game server issue.

My ISP (Spectrum) and ASUS (they made my router, RT-AX88U) both said they have no idea what the issue is and cannot help. This has been happening since August. I have not changed ISPs, this just randomly began happening.

Here is all of my troubleshooting, as well as what Microsoft and Xbox Support has told me to do:

Changed Xbox DNS to Google's

Cleared and reset Xbox MAC Address

Changed Internet Ports

Changed Ethernet Cords and LAN plugs on Router

Tried using wireless

Factory Reset and Power Cycled Xbox (multiple times)

Factory Reset router

Bought a NEW router (Didn't fix the issue, returned.)

Have ALL other devices disconnected from my home network while testing

It is NOT a hardware issue, as my Series S has the same issue, all under the same troubleshooting. That's why I believe it's a network issue, and am asking here.

If there is a setting(s) within my Router or ISP, PLEASE let me know what to do. This has been excruciatingly frustrating. I just want to play a video game.

Sounds like you have done most of what I would do. Just a couple of other things I would check.

1. Check your NAT settings in your network options on your xbox. Verify that your NAT is set to open.

2. Check your Network speed with a speed test. If during your speed test you see your speed going up and down severely, then you in fact do have a ISP issue.

If you are using wireless, you might want to try wired to see if that changes things as well. I used to have endless issues using wireless.

NAT Type is open, has been throughout the whole testing process.

Network speed stays at a relatively persistent 400 mbps.

I've only been using a wired connection, only used wireless for troubleshooting.

If you have any other ideas, please let me know.

What do you mean? How’s it going? I just bought two versions of this game and they seem to not be correct.

Does X box series X games work on a series S console or no?

And if not is there a way to allow me to still play these two games?

A multiplayer server allows two or more players to play Minecraft together. You can either download the server file needed to set up your own server from Minecraft.net or connect to another person's server. Note: To access a server you need to run the same version of Minecraft as the server

The consoles Internal Components & Firmware, are still legally, the property of Microsoft & Xbox..

The Xbox Live Servers, require the Dashboard Update, to be the latest version, so the console can be compatible with latest Xbox Live Server Revision (Updated Server Software Version etc) & is necessary, to allow you to play or use online services (ie. Xbox
Live Gold Multiplayer Gaming or Xbox Live Marketplace) etc..
