Two XBox consoles?

Can you have two Xbox consoles in use at one time? As long as you have two subscription IDs and aren't trying to use both of them at the same time with the same subscription?

Or do you have to have a subscription for each Xbox?

I would like to get a second console for another room in the house but if it's going to require a separate subscription, I'll upgrade from my Xbox one and just get rid of the second console.

Hey xXxKiiCKaSZ , are you trying to connect the controller to 2 different Xbox consoles at the same time? This is not possible. If you want to use the controller on a different console you can review this page and follow the directions to sync to a new console.

Thanks for reaching out to us! Yes it is possible to have two consoles in use at once. There would need to be two different profiles on the consoles since the same profile cannot be signed in on two different consoles at the same time. It would keep signing
the profile out on one of the consoles.

Also, with
Game Sharing, there does not need to be two different subscriptions purchased or the same game purchased on the two accounts. It allows the profiles to share everything.

No, you can use the one subscription. You can share your Gold Live by making one Xbox your Home Xbox, anyone else can then log onto that console and share your Gold, games and other subscriptions.

I believe so. To clarify, are you talking about doing game sharing to a secondary account on the other account on the 2nd xbox?

 

No, I don't think so. I just want to be able to my games on whichever Xbox I choose.

If I have someone over who wants to play on whichever xBox I am not on, I would think they could sign in with their own ID and play?

Not sure whether we would play the same game at the same time...

 

As myself and XBF Jasmine Z pointed out about Home Xbox, which answers your question in part and means your friends don't need live to play. Or as you state they use their own live assigned to their gamertag and sign in to play their games. You personally
only need one Xbox Live account.

 

You can have 2 consoles using different profiles and you can have the gold feature shared...

You can also share digital games this way. This is how I play games with my wife with 2 xboxes and 1 gold account. Just wish I could use 1 disc instead of having to buy the game digitally or 2 physical copies.
