Two months of cloud save data disappeared. Is there a way to find it/get it back?

I have a game synced between a PC and an Xbox, and yesterday after booting it up on the Xbox, I selected "Use Xbox Save Game Data" rather than "Sync PC Game Save Data." Immediately after doing so, two months worth of save data was missing and I opened the game only to find that the save itself (that the game opened) was from a save from two months ago. Now, between both the console and the PC, both share this same old save file. Yes, I checked for game updates and game save files, tried troubleshooting, etc., and could find nothing. Am I missing something?

It seems that your Xbox didn't had downloaded the latest saved progress available on the cloud
Sadly, when you selected "use Xbox saved game data" the latest save was replaced with that one. And once you select to replace/overwrite progress is not possible to undo or get back the previous one

Your save data should be stored in the cloud, if you didn't delete the cloud data too. If you did, then there is no way to get the data back.

unless you had the saves saved to the cloud there is no way to get the data from it as in saves or game progress back sorry.
