Two microsoft accounts with the same email

You can not have 2 different xbox profiles with one email I would double check the emails you can check the email on the xbox by going to settings and under the account tab go to sign in security and passkey and it will tell you what the email address is
that is associated with the account that you are signed into on the xbox

It isn't quite possible to have 2 accounts on one email address. Once a gamertag is attached to an email, you can't use that email for a different account. Kindly check the emails you have for where the second account is located.

Set up two-factor authentication on your Microsoft account. Make sure you have the same set up for your email account as well if it is not a Microsoft email account.

With regards to your concern, may I ask if you are playing the game via Xbox console or is this for a Minecraft PC, mobile version?

For Xbox, if you own the Xbox version of Minecraft you have the option to share the game to all users on the same Xbox via Home Xbox feature. Once you set a console as the Home Xbox, the game license will be shared to all users so you won't need to buy the game for the other account.

In addition to this, if you are not sure what email address is associated to your gamertag you can visit https://account.microsoft.com/profile page to manage your email address. You will then find here what is the email alias, then you may check what gamertag it is associated via https://account.xbox.com/profile page.
