Two controllers disconnecting while gaming

Hi,

I am playing my Xbox One console with two controllers. Sometimes while gaming in unexpected moments (through all games played with two controllers) they disconnect. Sometimes one of them and sometimes both. When I am playing solo this problem does not seem
to occur.

The software version of the console is up to date and the firmware version of both the controllers is also up to date.

I tried using cable powers while playing to verify that this is not related to the power supply.

One time while playing two characters with two controllers they switched after they disconnected. Meaning that after they reconnected, each controller controlled the other character.

After all that, I suspect that either the signals are somehow interfering each other / interfered by other electronics in the house, or the signal receiver in the console is damaged.

I'm hoping to find advice on how to solve this issue. Help would be appreciated.

Have you updated your Xbox One Wireless Controllers? I took this from Xbox Support just to let you know. Hope this Helps!!!

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & streaming > Accessories, and then select
the controller you want to update.
On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller.
If it says “Update,” select Firmware version, and then follow the steps provided.

Mine is a XB1, about two years of usage, I have two controllers and couple weeks ago both controllers started disconnecting without apparent reason.

I've tried updating the console and the controllers, and also did a clear cache procedure, hold the power button until it shuts down, and it still disconnecting.

Sometimes it works for a while without disconnecting, but other times it happens more frequently and I get really annoyed with that.

Is there anything else I can do?

Same here. I'm using the Turtle Beach x42 headset and the chat adapter. It stays on but the screen reads it's disconnected. It happens to me during Titanfall and NBA 2K14 while playing coop with two controllers powerd on at the same time.

It sounds like the controller is disconnecting while you are playing the game, which is causing the message to appear on the screen.

Make sure that the controller is charged. If the controller's battery is low, it may disconnect while you are playing the game.

Try using a different USB cable to connect the controller to the Xbox. Sometimes, cables can become damaged and cause connectivity issues.

Make sure that the controller is within range of the Xbox. If the controller is too far away, it may disconnect.

Reset the controller. To do this, hold down the Xbox button on the controller for about 10 seconds until the controller turns off. Then, press the Xbox button to turn the controller back on.

Make sure that the controller is properly synced to the Xbox. To do this, press the sync button on the Xbox and the sync button on the controller.
