Two consoles, 1 parent account and 2 ‘family’ accounts on each one

We have game pass ultimate. There are 3 accounts on the xbox; one for the parent (me) and each kid is setup with their own account. The 2 kids accounts are part of "Microsoft family" so I can control their screen time and monitor their activities. I purchase all games digitally (disks get scratched) under my parent account and have the xbox set as "Home" so the kids can play the games that I download. We just purchased another Xbox and for the past few days I have been trying to figure out how to configure the second console so that all the digital games I've purchased on the 1st xbox can be shared with the new xbox. At the end of the day I want any of the 2 kid accounts to be able to go to any xbox in the house, log in and play any online game the same way they do today.

If I set a console as ‘home’ then they can’t play on their accounts on the other console.

Am I missing a step here?

It's important to note that you can only have one console set as your Home Xbox at a time. This is why, when you designate a console as your Home Xbox, the other console loses these benefits.

I recommend setting as your Home Xbox the console they use the most because, on the other one, you'll only be able to play with the account that purchased the games/subscriptions. Unfortunately, there's no way to have two consoles as your Home Xbox simultaneously, you have to choose only one.

I only have 2 XBOX One consoles. The XBOX Live account is associated with my account which I use for parental controls on my two sons accounts. They each use their own separate account to play on their own XBOX One console.

- 2 XBOX One consoles

- my admin account with XBOX Live subscription

- my two sons have their own accounts they use to play on each of their XBOX One Consoles.

A child account and a parent account are 2 seperate accounts so you will need to buy gold on each account unless you bought a gold family pack for the parental account and then both accounts would have gold on the same plan.

The reason you have two accounts come up is one is the parent account.

You'll want to check for sure which is the parent and which is the child. Try signing into your gamertag on the console and go to the setting hub (not through the guide menu) and select the family panel. If this account is the parent, it will show the child
account. You can select the child account and remove from family. That'll get rid of the second account.

If you do not see the second account in the family panel, that means your primary account is the child account and the email is actually tied to the parent.

You will be able to run two Xbox consoles if you create a second account and join it to the Family Pack - then account 1 can run console #1 and account 2 can run console #2 (or vice versa).
