    Hello. My son has an xbox account. When he set his new PC up we did a fresh install and created a new Microsoft account, which he now uses, exclusively. It is linked to School, software, PC game accounts etc so he doesn't want to change it.

    He has quite a lot of Fortnite stuff linked to his old x-box account and he would like to use that on his PC. Unfortunately, to do so, it would mean changing the email account associated with his xbox, to the new PC account.

    This should be simple, but, I can't get it to work. When I try and change his xbox account email to his PC one it says that email is already taken. Of course it is, he's taken it! Just seem to go round in endless circles. Is there any way to do this? Tried
    to get a human on the phone at MS but no joy with that. Just get automatically pointed to web support, worse than useless, and hung up on.

    Anyone help with this. Seems such a simple request, feel a bit embarrassed asking here but, I'm going nuts trying to get it done!

    Could you explain further please? Am I correct in thinking you want to have two accounts, one on Windows 8 and one on your Xbox console?

    I'm not aware off the top of my head of any service that allows you to transfer digital purchases between accounts. They probably exist, but I'm not aware of any. If one account gets deleted you lose whatever is attached to that account.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Here are the troubleshooting steps to perform on the Xbox:

    Kindly make sure your privacy settings allow communication. Go to Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy. Select View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer and make sure the options for communication are set to "Allow" or "Everybody".

    And then check NAT Type, Your NAT type can affect your ability to communicate in party chat. Go to Settings > General > Network settings and check your NAT type. If it's not set to "Open," you might need to open the necessary ports on your router.

    Next is to do the power cycle by turning off your Xbox by holding the power button for 10 seconds, then unplug it for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on.

    Then clear MAC Address. Go to Settings > General > Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address and select "Clear." This will restart your console.

    It is important as well to check microphone and headset. Make sure that your microphone and headset are properly connected and not muted.

    If the issue persist, kindly use a different headset.
