Twitch stream not showing up on the xbox network

When i start my twitch stream on my main account on my xbox, it doesnt show on the xbox network that im streaming, but the stream still works and everything. my problem is that when i start a party on my main account while im streaming or join one, it doesnt say anything apart from that i joined the party and the audio isnt being broadcast from anyone else in the party. There is also no symbol next to my name in the party that stands for me broadcasting. when i do the same thing on my second account or any of my other accounts i get a notification that comes up and says that "(Xbox name) is streaming. your audio is included" and there is a symbol next to my name in the party and the party is being broadcast, i dont get anything like that on my main so my friends cant share their audio to the stream. My solution that i have found is to sign in my main and second accoutns and start the stream on my second account, join the party with my main and second then go onto the game and switch back to my main account. this then shares the audio from the party. i have no idea how to fix this and i have tried to change all of the privacy and online safety settings to allow or everyone and it still doesnt work.

Im pretty sure that this is a problem with my xbox account rather than my xbox as the party sharing works on any other account that i have signed in and not my main account.

If anyone can provide any help on this then that would be very appreciated.

Have you tried going into Linked social accounts and signing into Twitch from there? See if that is the problem and if it still happens, check the Linked social accounts on your other account. If it is linked to your other one unlink it and relink the Twitch account to your main account.

Hi there Owen welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out! It seems a lot of users are having this issue! After some researching on Reddit some users found resetting the console as a solution for the Twitch audio issue! But, if you think that your account is the issue 9 recommend contacting Twitch or Xbox for further help! I will leave the steps to reset the console here!

The first step in resetting an Xbox is to open the main menu. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:

Press the home button on your Xbox controller. This is the illuminated button with a stylized X that is centrally located on the front of the controller near the top.

Alternately, you can press the left bumper until you reach the home tab, and then press left on the d-pad.

Press down on the d-pad until you reach the gear icon.

Press the A button to select the gear icon.

With all settings highlighted, press the A button again to open the settings menu.

Press down on the d-pad until you reach System.

Press the A button to open the System submenu.

With console info highlighted, press the A button again.

Press down on the d-pad to select reset console.

Press the A button to select this option and move to the final step.

Press left on the d-pad to select Reset and keep my games & apps. Then press the A button. This is the less thorough of the two options, as it only resets the Xbox firmware and settings without touching your games and apps. Try this first, as it allows you to avoid downloading everything all over again.

Hi I'm having the same issues I can actually stream the game its says I'm not allowed but In the twitch dashboard it wont show any games so its saying I'm streaming to twitch not streaming call of duty vanguard I have to go onto a laptop or pc into my twitch channel and change it all in there it's like twitch xbox cant pick up what I'm trying to stream it's very annoying consoles upgraded yet still have issues this has been happening for months now aswell tet Microsoft still havnt fixed it

OK, so to clarify: on Xbox One, you start streaming and it says you're Live, but on Twitch it says you're offline?

There are only a few solutions I can think of, and some of them may seem stupid to suggest but I want to be thorough:

Are you sure you linked the correct Twitch account?

Does it actually say you're Live on the Twitch app, or did it fail without your knowledge? Or perhaps you're on the set-up screen (which shows your stream and, if applicable, Kinect camera preview, but is not actually streaming this)?

You could also get a friend to attempt to view your stream from their friends list - click on your name which will show you're streaming and they can click that to open the stream in the Twitch app. If that works, it further suggests it may be linked to
the wrong Twitch account.

I'm not sure what else it could be, but let us know if any of these scenarios apply and if not we can work from there.

To be honest I'll find it hard to stream with .85 up but a more fleshed out twitch app that is linked to the desktop version would be nice. The one currently I can't search for friends that stream unless they show up in the most popular feeds.
