    Twitch Broadcast Lag - Lack of Ingest Server Selection


    While broadcasting to Twitch from the app, there is no selection for proper ingest servers to select one closest to you.

    A *VERY BIG ISSUE* here is that someone in NY (me) cannot sustain a solid 2 Mbps to a California Twitch ingest server that the app defaults to during certain times of the day.

    As a side note: There is also no other option to raise the bitrate to 3500 for those that can support uploading at the "recommended" speed. (720p30, while somewhat okay at 2 Mbps, would benefit regardless)

    - Are there plans to add this ingest server option/selection?

    - Is the main issue that the XB1-specific Twitch ingest servers are only located in CA and the app cannot use the general Twitch ingest servers?

    ---

    Unfortunately, if nothing can be done, then the app is useless for anyone on the east coast during primetime (6PM-11PM ET) hours that want to deliver a clean(-ish) stream at a reasonable bitrate.

    Twitch broadcasting lag!!!

    So i dont know if this is just me, but it seems whenever i try to broadcast twitch my gameplay will always lag..but it doesnt lag when im not broadcasting on twitch. It kind of sucks because i would love to broadcast everytime i log on to play but because
    of the gameplay lag i dont really use it...any answers?

    Which Internet speed is recommended?

    is what matters i have 60up 3 down i dont get much lag but i cant broadcast on twitch my games lag too much

    It's not just you man. I have hard wired my Xbox and I'm still getting a 11 second delay even though the internet guys said that I wouldn't if i hard wired it, but yet 11 seconds is still happening. I have even had my friends jump on my stream just to check
    and see if it was just my end but it wasn't just me.

    shouldnt be, i have the twitch app installed and can broadcast fine i was on the insider too, have left that and still works ok. i have to open twitch and select broadcast from within the app.
