Discus and support Tv Ratio in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I have a Samsung Widescreen. Every time I turn on to watch tv I have to manually go display settings on the tv to set the ratio to 16:9. How can this...     I have a Samsung Widescreen. Every time I turn on to watch tv I have to manually go display settings on the tv to set the ratio to 16:9. How can this be set automatically?

    HD TV is streching when on 720p

    It does sound like an aspect ratio problem. Somewhere in your TV settings there should be an option to change the aspect ratio to one which better fits the signal that your xbox is transmitting. What model TV are you using?

    Anyone else with messed up display after October update?

    Have you tried changing the aspect ratio of your tv? Go into the settings on the X1, go to calibrate HDTV, go to the screen that says Aspect Ratio, then go to the settings for your tv, go to picture settings, find aspect ratio and change it until the green bars are visible all the way around the screen.

    Why is there no display aspect ratio controls?

    most aspect ratio is controlled by the tv now, the xbox will output whatever ratio is the source, ie, a 4.3 video will either stretch or the tv with compensate and place it into 4:3

    Maybe, I have a 32" TV which is only 720p and uses 16:9 aspect ratio which is a common movie ratio or so I thought.
