    i have a Panasonic plasma tv. i have connected my hopper reciever to my Xbox one via the hdmi pass through but the picture quality is terrible. Is there any fix for this or is Xbox working on an update to fix this?

    HDMI pass-through when Xbox One is OFF

    I managed to get Live TV to work with the Xbox One and my Dish Network Hopper. It is beautiful.

    Unfortunately, now I can't get the Hopper to work with the Xbox turned OFF (since my wife will not watch TV through the Xbox).

    Is there a way to diagnose why HDMI pass-through is not working when the Xbox is turned off?

    Here are more details about my current setup:

    • Connections:
    • Dish Network Hopper connected to Xbox One through HDMI (to the HDMI IN port)
    • Xbox One connected to my AV receiver through HDMI (using the HDMI OUT port on the Xbox One)
    • AV Receiver (Sony STRDN100) connected to TV (Samsung (UN55C6800) using HDMI
    • What works:
    • Xbox works fine playing games
    • Xbox works fine watching live Dish Network TV using the Xbox TV interface (coming from the Hopper)
    • What doesn't:
    • Watching live Dish Network TV using the Hopper directly when the Xbox is switched off

    XBOX One and the Dish Hopper

    I have set up the xbox one and during the setup, the testing on "Turning On" & "Turning Off" the dish hopper works perfectly. I adjusted the settings so that when the XBOX One is turned on or off it will do the same for my TV and Dish Hopper.

    When everything is off, turning on the XBOX One turns everything on perfectly, HOWEVER; when turning off the XBOX One, only the XBOX One and the TV is shutting down. My Hopper stays on and I have to use my remote to turnoff.

    I notice that the order the 'Off" commands are Dish Hopper 1st, and then the TV.

    I see the Hopper blink off, and then a 1/2 second latter come back on & then the TV off.

    Does the hopper recognize a live feed and automaticly turn on, thus the quick off and then back on?

    Any Thoughts?

    Can I reorder the 'Off' commands so that it turns the TV off 1st and then the Dish Hopper?

    Xbox One March 5, 2014 update not working with DISH Hopper receiver

    Got my new Dish Hopper in the mail yesterday and was able to watch TV through the Xbox One for 2 minutes before it froze and then jumped ahead. My old Hopper and new Hopper work great when connected directly to the TV. Neither one works when I run them
    through the Xbox One. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Dish Network compatibility?

    I don't have Hopper but I do have Dish and mine works with XB1 just fine. Plug your Dish reciever into the HDMI in port then plug HDMI out to your TV . Then go settings and go to TV & one guiide and it will walk you through the setup.

    Dish hopper - xbox one - Vizio TV. Never had this problem until recently and I've had the Xbox connected like this for some time now.

    best way i can describe the way things look are anything thats about 25 yards or further looks smudge and grainy and pixelated and objects flicker

    Xbox one tv stopped working.

    .....And another. Cold Boot fixes problem temporarily, but it returns within hours.

    This, and the lack of surround sound pass through (yes I clicked the box) are causing me to disconnect this product from my TV, and use it only for games.

    Disappointing.
