    HI,

    I am wondering what kind of features do I have access to with my Xbox One and the TV functions? I have the foxtel plugged in via the HDMI In and not sure what else I can do.

    In Australia we are starting to get some TV channel apps on the 360 dash for catch up TV, which I think is kind of handy. So the X1 will still make use of TV features without a cable box.

    In australia, what is exactly is the go with the tv function on the xbox one.

    What is required to watch tv?

    Could i use a cheap set top box?

    Asking because i heard alot of the features in are australia are unavailable

    Why dont Microsoft send the tv tuner as well as the one guide to Australia. Australia have fairly good free tv and we want it to. Why is Xbox One so sht in Australia. Why dont they release some of the features to us like...

    • Xbox On command
    • Be Able to link ur Satellite/Cable and TV to your Xbox
    • Xbox One Guide
    • Xbox Passthrough integration with Xbox One Guid
    • Xbox TV Tuner
    • Some streaming service like Netflix or Hulu Plus. I know we have Quickflix but it is horrible.
    • Foxtel Play
    Its already been a year but Microsoft are yet to release these features to us or even explain why they cannot.

    Compared to the US and UK Australia are a small market but are still big enough to have an opinion and to get answers or change.

    Good Job Microsoft just waiting to see what else you screw up.

    According to Xbox Wire
    news.xbox.com/.../xbox-one-partners-unveiled     the 'Live TV' will function in Australia

    "In addition to delivering live TV in every market where Xbox One will be sold..."

    They have also announced the list of apps that will be available at first, of which Foxtel does not feature. I assume it will be coming down the line.

    Still out of luck if you just use coax to plug directly into your TV tuner though, like the OP
