TV app issues, no sound, stuttering or snowy picture with Sky HD (UK).

This in an intermittent problem and varies between only getting a picture that stutters with no sound or just a "snowy"/noise/scrambled (anyone who had old analogue sky will remember this) on the TV app fed from my Sky HD.

I do have an HDMI matrix in between them and suspected this, so I disconnected it and instead connected a rival games console instead, got the same behaviour in the TV app with a different source not using the HDMI matrix.

I then notice at some point (some update) had switched the XBOX ONE to instant on instead of energy saving, so I did a full shutdown and cold boot. The TV app was working again.

I've repeated this since but getting pretty sick of having to do it, the new "restart" option in settings does make the task less long winded thank you but I have been hoping a new firmware update would be released and fix it for good.

Xbox one - Running Sky HD box through HDMI

Anyone in the UK having and problems with picture quality running the SKY HD box through the Xbox one? Ive noticed a drop in picture quality compared to having the SKY box run directly to my TV

Video and Audio Delay HELP!

Sky HD box to Xbox One input, xbox output to tv. no splitters. I have no external sound system so delay is on hdmi audio. Sky HD direct to TV has no audio/video sync issues, audio delay is only present with Xbox one in the circuit.

 

Anyone else experiencing this? Have any more information?

Is it a known issue?

I hope it's not my Xbox One Day One Edition, but I'm sure it was fine until after a firmware update in 2014.
