TV App crops image all of a sudden

Is anyone else experiencing issues with image cropping when watching HD channels over the Xbox App ? I suspect this to be related to a recent update as I have had this working fine for years now in same setup. My TV is LG47LS5700 and I had it set up to "Just
Scan" which should be the natural signal ratio. The HD tuning setup on the XBOX shows my screen as correctly adjusted, with the green lines bordering the screen's limits as expected. I only see this problem when watching HD channels through the Xbox (I connected
the TV directly to the cable box and all is fine).

Any thoughts here on what else I can do to try to fix the problem?

I've had this exact same problem the last few days. Unfortunately I have not found any help that worked. I tried to reset the TV options even after I was prompted to randomly resetup my TV. I really hope someone from Microsoft can chime in or confirm this
is on their bug list.

TV Commands Stopped Working All of a Sudden

We've been using our XBOX ONE since day 1. We've had it set to send commands to our SONY TV without any issues. However, today I noticed it tell me it wanted to set up the TV again so I let it. I went through the "Guide Me" wizard and it successfully
sent the MUTE, INFO and MENU commands. After it said it was done we were back to the HOME screen and I said XBOX Mute. Nothing was sent to the TV. I also tried XBOX Volume UP/DOWN and nothing. I'm not sure what is going on. We never had this issue before.
I also tried to reboot it doing a system shutdown, unplugged, reboot, etc. Any advice??

What is your TV model? Some of the older sets typically have a "zoom" option, which would crop or stretch the image. There might even be options to "offset" the picture vertically or horizontally.

Hello, it may be an over scan issue, some older Tv's over scan the display which can cause the image to be cropped off at the sides. Try looking in the Tv picture options for some sort of setting, it may be called Just Scan or Fit to Screen or something
else. That will then force the Tv to fit the image on the screen.

Not all T'v have that ability though and you may find that no matter what you try you just won't get the Tv to fit the image on the Tv screen.

I have found a possible hidden menu for Sanyo Tv's that will allow you to change the values for the image displayed, I will provide the link below, however as you may be messing around in a Service Menu take great care as to not change any settings that
could render your Tv inoperable. Good Luck

Hi,

Most TV's crop the HDMI signal input unless you can put the tv in "PC MODE".

Check your TV if you have such a function, and activate it. This should give you better color space and not interfere much with the crop aspect of the signal.
